Home Page Nyth-y-Wenol is located at 300 meter level in Mid Wales. The building is located east:west and commands a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Nyth-y-Wennol is the Welsh phrase for swallow's nest. Each year they nest and breed in the neighbourhood. Our gable ends seem to be a favourite perch. Three pairs appear to produce three or four fledglings each, not bad for a seasons work. At the end of the season the power lines are the local rendezvous for their long journey south to the Canary Islands. A few remained over the winter and are probably waiting for their friends to return. This winter the trees in the garden are alive with wild birds. Our Robins are doing well amongst a wide variety of other species. We do wonder how much chicken food gets diverted? It has been our home for over ten years, which is shared with a growing menagerie of cats, fostered and lodging together with our chickens . We have decided to make the rest of our life here and relax and enjoy the vista over an impressive landscape. The changes of seasons are captivating, always something different to see. Even the wind farm adds changing interest. This web site is designed to illustrate what we are trying
